Timothy P. Mchale

Timothy P. McHale, age 67, of Troy, NC, formerly of Davison, MI, passed away May 18, 2020. Cause of death was a heart attack.

Tim was born July 26, 1952 in Appleton, WI to Terence and Emmaline (Sammie) McHale. The family moved to Davison, MI in 1963 where Tim graduated from Davison Senior High in 1971. In 1972, Tim enlisted in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1975.

Tim was a member of the Merchant Marines supporting the US Navy during the Iraq War. He worked 4 months on/4 months off with numerous deployments to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean as well as Japan and Saipan. He told many fascinating stories of his life working on the Navy’s largest supply ships.

Surviving Tim are seven brothers: William M. of Sammamish, WA, James T. of Prescott, AZ, Thomas J. of Petoskey, MI, Brian J. of Grand Blanc, MI, Michael S. of Broomfield, CO, Mark D. of San Francisco, CA and David P. of Ventura, CA; two sisters: Sue A. of Atlanta, GA and Annie M. of Stevenson, WA, and their partners and spouses. Tim was preceded in death by sister Mary Louise Boyce and father and mother.

A memorial for Tim will be held at a later date.
