Thomas Hill "Tom" Campbell

Mr. Thomas Hill "Tom" Campbell, 78, died Wednesday, September 12, VA Medical Center in Durham.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by the Rev. Dale Deese. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.<P>
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hood Campbell; a daughter, Hope C. Outlaw of Wagram; a son, Donald Waldron and wife, Wendy of Laurel Hill; six grandchildren, Shelby Plante and husband, Richard of Lake Mary, FL, Nikki Outlaw of Wagram, Will Jackson, Reva Jackson, Troy Jackson, and Tiffani Waldron of Laurel Hill.<P>
Born July 5, 1923 in Robeson County, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Mary McLean Campbell. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, getting wounded December 24, 1944 in Luxemburg, Germany during the Battle of the Bulge.<P>
Tom was a professed "Jack of all trades" working as an appliance repairman, auto mechanic, and a greeter at Wal-Mart. He was a bass player with the Sandhills Ramblers.<P>
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium and other times at the residence of Hope Outlaw, 21820 Henry Smith Road.<P>
