Gibson
Thomas Mandras, 69 of Gibson, N.C., formerly of Hertford, N.C., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 28, 2012.
A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, at the McDougald Funeral Home Chapel.
He was born January 27, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA to John and Mary Mancuso Mandras.
Thomas served with the U.S. Navy for 20 years as Master Chief. He was a member of the Moose, Patriot Guard Riders and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; two sons, Mathew Mandras of VA, and J Sosa of N.C.; three daughters, Denice Vaughan of VA, Heather Sosa of GA, and Tamara Williams of FL; Brother Jake; and nine grandchildren, Danielle and Shelby Been, Samantha, Josie, Dale Williams, Kara, Sayden and LJSosa, and Ty'ana Sosa.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel, located at 305 E. Church St., Laurinburg, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, N.C. 28353.
He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
