Thi Den Hillard

Thi Den Hillard, 65, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

Her remains are being sent back to Vietnam to be with her grandparents.

Thi was born July 15, 1954 at Kien Giang Rach Gia, Vietnam and was reared by her grandparents Danh Nhieu and Thi Ke of Vietnam.  She loved traveling to her homeland every year. She loved cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and animals.  She spoke in four different languages.

She is survived by her life time partner, Jon Merrell of the home; five children, Connie Spivey (Phillip) of Mt. Gilead, Patrick Hillard of Lexington, Carolina Hillard of Salisbury, Billie Jo Feldmann of Lexington and Daniel Hillard of Salisbury; eleven grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.  She is preceded in death by one daughter, Dannie Marie Sowers and son-in-law, Ed Feldmann.
