Theresa Watson Fisher, 94, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Maxton, N.C. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn McGugan of Red Springs and Elizabeth McEwen of Laurinburg; three grandchildren; Deborah Kinsman (Doug) of Whispering Pines, Michelle McEwen of Laurinburg, and Chad McEwen of Wilmington; seven great grandchildren, Ashley Kinsman, Laura Kinsman, Winston McEwen, Linzi McEwen, Will Rupard, Sarah Elizabeth Rupard, and Pittman McEwen. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Shane McEwen.
Born May 23, 1918 in Scotland County, she was a widow of the late Bob Fisher, former Police Chief of Maxton. She was an active member and the oldest member of the First Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery for over 25 years, and served in the church kitchen when the need arose. She loved her family, cooking, sweet tea, gardening, flowers and Duke basketball.
She was retired from Ingraham/Toastmasters in Laurinburg.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
