Mrs. Thelma Janell Carlisle Britt, 85, of 13 Third Street died Tuesday, July 25, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by the Rev. Michael Price. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Lindeberg of Vero Beach, FL; a son, Alvin Britt of the home; one sister, Catherine Bullard of Ash, NC; three grandchildren, Natalee Moldenhaur of Denver, CO, Elisse Tessier of Gilbert AZ, Evette Spickelmier of Maryville, TN; six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Britt and a sister, Eula Abernathy.
Born December 26, 1920 in Brunswick County, she was a daughter of the late David and Mary Canady Carlisle.
Mrs. Britt was retired from Waverly Mills. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and always put others before her self.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
