Teresa Sewell Gathings, 45, died Tuesday, November 9, at New Hanover Regional Hospital after a short illness.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her father and mother, Willie "Pete" and Helen Sykes Sewell of Laurinburg; a son, Joshua Blackwell of Laurinburg; three daughters, Bonnie Sewell, Heather McCallum, and Veronica Gathings of Laurinburg; two brothers, Willie Sewell, Jr. of Laurinburg and Jason Sewell of Clayton; five grandchildren, Riley McCallum, Austin McCallum, Ty'tan McCallum, Aubrey Blackwell, and Adelyn Blackwell.
