Sylvia Hubbard Marsh Crick, 69, passed away on November 15, 2016 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, N.C.
A memorial service will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Bennettsville. Visitation will follow the service in the gathering room of the church.
Born October 20, 1947 in Marlboro County, S.C. she was the daughter of the late Clarence Windsor and Bernice Gardner Hubbard.
Sylvia finished Clio High School in 1965, completed Palmer College in Columbia with a Business Degree, Pembroke University with an Early Childhood Education Degree and obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of South Carolina. She taught first grade for thirty nine years in Marlboro and Scotland Counties. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bennettsville and Twentieth Century Book Club where she served as past president.
She is survived by her brother, C.W. “Windy” Hubbard, Jr. (Barbara), and two nephews Clarence Windsor “Wyn” Hubbard III (Rosa) and Wade Anthony Hubbard (Niki) all of Clio. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Thomas Marsh.
