Suzanne Ellen Horning Kershner

Suzzanne Ellen Horning Kershner, 67, of Laurinburg passed away on April 17, 2010, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 24 at 11:00 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 800 South Main Street in Laurinburg. Burial will follow in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by: four children, Jacqueline A., wife of Rodney St. John of Lititz, PA; Kathryn S. Kershner of Pottstown, PA; Paul D. Kershner Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; Gwendolyn K., wife of Adam Supplee of Collegeville, PA; two grandchildren, Jared and Jaycie St. John; and a sister Patricia Missimer of Spring City, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents Helen and Fritz Horning of Phoenixville, PA; and an infant son, Mark Charles.
In spite of difficulties from multiple sclerosis and respiratory disease, Suzy was an active and devoted volunteer for her church, the therapeutic riding program for St. Andrew's Presbyterian College Equestrian Center, Scotland Memorial Hospital, and many other organizations. She devoted her life to the care of others as a professional nurse from 1963 through 2002.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 800 South Main Street, Laurinburg NC 28352, or another charity of your preference.
