Susie M. Scott

Susie M. Scott, 96 of Laurinburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Morrison Manor.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Hillside Memorial Park, officiated by the Rev. Tracy Gross.

Born July 19, 1921 in Imperial County, CA, she was a daughter of the late Aria and Wilhelmina “Mina” Voorting.  She was the oldest of six children, all who have preceded her in death. There were three boys and three girls. She was a homemaker and also liked quilting, embroidery and word search books.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Greene and husband, Bobbie of Pinehurst, NC; her son, John J. Scott and wife, Esther of Visalia, CA; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ernest L. Scott, Jr.
