Susie N. Wright, 89, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Morrison Manor.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. at the church, officiated by the Rev. Michael Malpass.  Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.

Born on November 27, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Coyette Estelle Long. Susie loved square dancing, reading, trying new recipes, baking, traveling, attending musical shows, spending time with family, and playing games, especially Scrabble. She was a very kind and caring woman who will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, James Pate Wright, of the home; daughters, Linda Susan Wright of Wilmington and Amanda “Amy” Wright Evans of Aberdeen; granddaughter, Heather LaNelle Evans of Laurinburg; great grandson, Alexander James Costa; brothers, Robert Beasley (Carolyn) of Laurinburg, and Daniel Beasley Jr. of Raleigh; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, James Beasley.
