Mrs. Sue McGirt Gilbert, 57, of Kiser Road died Tuesday, August 21, at the home of her daughter, Darlene Caulder.

Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Revs. Jerry Wilkes and Gerald Polston. Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Michael McGirt of Kings Mountain, NC and Timothy McGirt of Mount Pleasant, NC; a daughter, Darlene Caulder of Laurel Hill; her parents, Mack and Mildred Canady of Laurel Hill; a sister, Rachael Gilbert of Pinehurst, and seven grandchildren.

Born December 16, 1943 in Scotland County, she was a former employee of LOF Glass and Wal-Mart.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
