Mrs. Sophia Ann Gregson Reeves Bogel, 82, of Scotia Village died Thursday, September 14, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Jim Bumgardner. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry B. Reeves of Hampstead and W. Dan Reeves of Julian; a brother, Bill D Gregson of Carthage; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Born January 13, 1924 in Wilmington, she was a daughter of the late William D. and Willkings Smith Gregson. She owned and operated a hand tied wig business in Sanford, later she owned a real estate company at Topsail Beach, and was later a personal secretary for Ralph Squires Homebuilders, and retired as a secretary at Union Memorial Hospital in Monroe.
