Solomon Roger Bridger

S. Roger Bridger, 83, died Saturday, November 29, 2014.

Funeral services with military rites will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium. Visitation will precede the service from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born December 6, 1930 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Solomon and Mary Caulk Bridger.

He served in the US Army, and was best known for his impersonation of the KFC Colonel. He also enjoyed the morning gatherings at McDonalds.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Melba Bridger; his sons, Dale Bridger of Kansas and Lowell Bridger of Greensboro; his daughters, Marsha Dunn of Stokesdale, Cindy Hall of Eden, Bonnie Larimore of Randleman, and Connie Voga of Pleasant Garden; his brother, Darryl Bridger of Laurinburg; his sister, Ophelia Adams of Cincinnati; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
