Mrs. Sherry Provens, 63 passed away on Sunday, August 4 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Provens is survived by her husband, Garold Provens; 2 sons, Joseph Provens (Kimberly) of Maxton and Jeffery Provens ( Stephanie) of Bidwell, OH; 1 daughter, Katey Lewis (Chad) of Oakhill, OH; 1 brother, Lowell Morrow, Jr. of OH; 2 sisters, Barbara Hughes and Diana Arrowood of OH; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Morrow.
Born February 27, 1950 in Gallispolis, OH, she was a daughter of the late Lowell and Katrenda Bright Morrow. She was a graduate of the University of Rio- Grande in Ohio with a degree in Psychology. Mrs. Provens was a social worker with the Gallia County Mental Health and was responsible for writing the first grant for Domestic Violence in Gallia County. She attended Laurinburg Christian Church.
