Sherman Paul Livingston

Sherman Paul Livingston, 87, of Troy, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Long Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 637 Capelsie Rd., Candor, officiated by Rev. Johnny Lamonds. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service prior to the service.

Born August 20, 1936, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late William Harrison and Cora Ledbetter Livingston. Sherman enjoyed messing with old cars and playing music. He played a Five Star banjo and guitar. Sherman had sung in over one hundred churches with the “Harmony Trio”.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hurley Livingston of the home; brother, Billy Ray Livingston (Janie) of Candor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn R. Livingston; sisters, Doris Mauldin, Pauline Maness, Ruby Livingston, and Monzie Livingston; brother, Clyde Livingston; and niece, Sharon Livingston.

Memorial may be made to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund, 819 Mt Carmel Church Rd, Troy, NC 27371.
