Shelton Gibson, Sr

Mr. Shelton Gibson, Sr. of Stone Way Lane died Thursday, February 25, at Marlboro Park Hospital in Bennettsville, SC.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home in Laurel Hill. Burial will follow in the McDonald Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Shelton Gibson, Jr. of Gibson and Cleo L. Gibson of Laurel Hill; a daughter, Teresa Jacobs of Laurel Hill; a brother, John Douglas Gibson of Clio, SC; 9 grandchildren.

Born November 6, 1926 in Marlboro County, SC, he was a son of the late Nathan and Trudie Bennett Gibson. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a retired textile employee of Waverly Mills, Richmond Mills, and Charles Craft.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home in Laurel Hill.
