Sharon Butler Woodside Alston, 55, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Richmond Pines Healthcare.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, April 8, at New Hope Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Michael Malpass. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Gibson Butler of Laurinburg; her daughter, Ashley A. Shiflett (Chris) of Gordonsville, VA; her sons, Tony Woodside and special friend, Summer Gainey of Laurinburg, Greg Alan Woodside ( Stephanie) of Laurinburg; her brother, Jamie Butler (Jennifer) of Laurinburg; five grandchildren.
Born October 4, 1960 in Laurinburg, she was also a daughter of the late J. Fairley Butler. She was a graduate of the Funeral Education Department at Fayetteville Technical Community College and most recently served on the staff at Wal-Mart.
In her pastimes Sharon enjoyed going to the beach and watching old television shows and spending time with her grandchildren.
A visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
