Sarah McIntyre Watson passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Scotland Regional Hospice.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Montpelier Presbyterian Church in Wagram, North Carolina. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at the church from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. A burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.

Born on October 30, 1941, in Anson County, she led a life distinguished by devotion to her family and service to others.

Throughout her impressive career, Sarah Ann Watson served her community with dedication and professionalism in several capacities. She provided essential support at Dr. Lloyd McCaskill’s family medical practice in Maxton, offered her skills at the Laurinburg Surgical Clinic, and later transitioned to Merrill Lynch, where she worked as a Client Associate. She was also an active member of the Riverton Community. Her careful attention to detail, compassionate demeanor, and steadfast work ethic earned her the respect and appreciation of colleagues and clients alike.

Sarah leaves behind a deeply loving family who celebrate her enduring influence in their lives. She is survived by her sons, Beverly Carlyle McIntyre, III (Elizabeth) of Laurinburg, and Michael McCormick McIntyre, of the home; her daughter, Sarah Katherine Morris, of Selma; granddaughters, Grace McIntyre Minnick (Zach) and Sarah Elizabeth McIntyre; grandson, Sawyer Carlyle McIntyre (Rebecca); great-granddaughter, Emma Grace McIntyre; great-grandson, Declan Steele Minnick; her sister-in-law, Mary Wayne Watson; and her niece, Rachel Bahler; and other nieces and nephews.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, James Paul and Ethel Doster Webb; her husbands, Beverly Carlyle McIntyre, Jr. and Duncan McNeill Watson; and her son-in-law, Mark Anthony Morris.

Sarah Ann Watson’s life serves as an enduring example of integrity, compassion, and commitment. She will be remembered for her unwavering support of her loved ones and her invaluable contributions to her professional endeavors. Her memory will remain cherished by those who had the fortune to know her.
