Sarah Cooley Peden

A memorial service will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM in Lee's ChapelUnited Methodist Church in Greensboro. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Spring Hill Cemetery in Wagram with Rev. Jim Johns officiating.
Born June 15, 1916 in Scotland County, she was the daughter of the late William Nutt and Sallie Chapman Cooley Peden, Sr. A retired nurse working for both Dr. Cater and Dr. Sykes, after her retirement Sarah opened her home and privately cared for young children. Active in Lee's Chapel United Methodist Women's Club, she was a member of Montpelier Presbyterian Church in Wagram.
Two nephews; James 'Jim' Peden of Apex and Dennis Peden of Wagram; a sister-in-law, Sallie Mac Peden of Wagram; a great niece, Sarah Peden and a great nephew, Hunter Peden also of Apex survive her.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9PM at the home of Sallie Mac Peden, 21940 W. Bundy Steet in Wagram.
