Sara Ellen Johnson Smith, 87, formerly of Maxton died Friday, November 22, at Hospice House in Monroe.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Oak Grove Cemetery, Maxton.
She is survived by her son, Thomas. She was also the widow of the late James C. "Cow Chain" Smith.
