Sandra Brayboy

Sandra “Sandy” Wright Brayboy, age 65, went to her heavenly home on October 12, 2025. She was an amazing, loving and caring wife, mother, sister, nana and aunt.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2025 at United Christian Faith Holiness Church officiated by Pastor Betty Mears. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30-2:00 PM.

She enjoyed working in her flowers and spending time with her grands. She also loved sewing. She retired from Campbell Soup after 12 years.

She leaves to cherish in her memory, her husband of 43 years, Willie Brayboy of the home; her daughter, Amy (Heath) Shelley of McColl; son, Chris Smith of Laurel Hill; sister, Gloria (Bryan) Bowan; grandkids, Ethan, Gage, Ryleigh, Aubrey and Tucker; a special set of dialysis nurses, Selena Monte and Brittany Locklear; father-in-law, Bracey Brayboy; sister’s-in-law, Ann Brayboy and Marilyn Spry; brother’s-in-law, JD Brayboy and Johnny Brayboy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eunice and Vonnie Ray Jacobs; son, Phillip Wright; sister, Laura Stewart; and mother-in-law, Margaret Suggs.

Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the Brayboy family.
