Sally Margaret (Boyd) Long

Sally Boyd Long, 84, passed away peacefully at home. She was born May 3, 1936 in Hamlet, NC to Robert Camp Boyd, Sr. and Pauline Hilburn Boyd. She married the love of her life, Daniel M. Long in January of 1956, who proceeded her in death in October of 2020.

Sally was truly in every way a “Southern Lady”. She was a very private person who loved beautiful surroundings and her family. Sally also wrote poetry which was published by Tea Time Magazine for many years. She was a very loving and spiritual person touching many peoples lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Long Strickland, and her partner, Michael McKenzie; grandchildren, Kasey D. McLaughlin, and her partner, Aaron Leviner, Maston McLaughlin, Masey McLaughlin, and Madaleigh Leviner.
