Ryan Trent Clark

Ryan "Rapahoe" Trent Clark, age 40, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Dr. Kenneth Bowen and Josh Clark. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born on July 30, 1985, in Scotland County, he was a son of Sandra Diane Clark and the late Roger Trent Locklear.

Ryan was known for his warm spirit and nurturing heart, dedicating many years to being a devoted caretaker for his mother. Ryan's life was enriched with activities that he cherished deeply, including hunting and fishing, drawing, painting, building things, and a passion for music. His love for nature was evident in his enthusiasm for catching various types of animals.

Along with his mother, Ryan is survived by his daughter, Samoa Cheyenne Clark of Laurinburg; his sister, Amber Marie Hatcher of Laurinburg; his aunt, Zedith Locklear, whom he affectionately referred to as grandmother and his aunt, Stephanie Clark; uncles Josh Clark and Shawn Clark; special cousins Junior Strickland and George Locklear; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins who truly loved him.

Ryan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Reedy Locklear and Adel Locklear; his maternal grandfather, Gilbert Clark; his maternal great-grandparents, Flora Clark and Jes Clark, and his uncles, Jaydel Locklear and Lynn Ray Locklear.

Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the Clark family.
