Mrs. Ruth B. McAbee, 84, of Old Lantern Road died Monday, September 6, at her residence.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Hillside Cemetery officiated by Rev. Dr. L.D. Kimrey.
She is survived by two daughters, Judi McAbee of Charlotte and Jenny Polston and husband, Jerry of Laurinburg; one step-sister, Betty Parnell of Laurinburg; three grandchildren, Robbie Beacham of Titusville, FL, Heather B. Braswell of Southern Pines and Steve McAbee of Charlotte; four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent A. McAbee.
Born January 23, 1920 in Mooresville, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Goldie Beane.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Charlotte, NC, as well as our friends and loved ones for all the prayers, cards, flowers and care over the last few weeks. We are grateful and feel blessed to have friends like you.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 7-9 PM at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium, Laurinburg, NC.
