Mrs. Ruth McPherson Jones, 82, of Ashley drive died Monday, April 29, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Quinton Covington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
She is survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Born July 14, 1919 in Wagram, she was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Effie Jane Butler McPehrson and widow of the late Julian Jones. She was employed with Ingraham Clock Co./Toastmaster as an inspector for over 30 years.
Ruth was also an active member of Central United Methodist Church where she served on the Bereavement Committee, was a Circle member, and helped with the church barbeques. She was also an avid reader; reading several books per week.
Visitation wil be 2-4 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
