Kenneth Jones, 80, of Cypress Drive died Wednesday, September 10, 2008.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton, VA officiated by Jeff Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Clitee Ledlow Jones; three sons, David E. Jones and his partner, Jodi Androw of Hampton, VA, Billy G. Jones and wife, Janis of Rockingham, NC, and Robert D. Jones and wife, Candena of Belview, FL; three sisters, Faye Smith of Hampton, Shirley Perkins of Guin, AL, and Barbara Williams of North Augusta, SC; five grandchildren, Candace Jean Garcia of AZ, Christine Davis of VA, Donovan Jones of AL, Drater Jones and Kayla Jones of FL; 6 great grandchildren; and 4 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger K. Jones, who was killed in Vietnam.
Born September 9, 1928 in Hampton Co., AL he was a son of the late Houston and Jewel Sizemore Jones. He was retired as a crane operator for Lochwood Brothers in Tidewater, VA and was a member of Operating Engineers Local 147. After retirement he lived in Ellerbe, NC, Florida, and Laurinburg, NC. Kenneth was an honorable citizen with big heart quality.
