Patsy was involved in church music most of her life from the age of eight when she played for her first funeral. Most of those years were for Springfield Church of God. Loving every minute of it. She was always traveling and willing to help. Not the least of Patsy’s talents, she was a very talented seamstress. She sewed for the public for over 20 years.
She wore many “hats.” She was also a school bus driver for seven years for Scotland County schools and loved all the children.
She is survived by her daughter, Ramona Dorrell Cribb (Gilbert) of Maxton and a son, Rev. Timothy F. Hicks (Robin) of Jacksonville, AR; nine grandchildren, and twenty-nine great grands; and six great-great grands.
She was also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Patti Lynn Locklear of Laurinburg and Brenda Jo Dean Helms of Gibson; three brothers and four sisters.
Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the Hicks family.
