Roy Rankin Varner, II, 24, passed away on Monday August 26, 2019 in Silver Springs, FL.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, August 30, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, officiated by Tony Sedberry. Burial will follow at Love Joy United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 pm until service time.

Born June 11, 1995 in Robeson County, he was the son of Roy Lee and Judy Freeman Varner. He was a skidder operator in the logging industry. Roy loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three sisters, Patricia Blevins of Mt. Gilead, Ashley Taylor of Wadeville, and Olivia Graham of Troy; and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Freeman of Mt. Gilead. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roger Freeman and his paternal grandparents, Roy Rankin Varner, I and Judy Carol Saunders.
