Roy Snead, 88, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lorene Faulk Snead of the home; son, Rev. Randall Snead (Melody) of Laurel Hill; daughters, Mary Helen Wilson (Jerry) of Laurel Hill, Joyce Bittner, Janice Norton (Ronnie) of Laurinburg; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh and Alton Snead and sister, Viola Boyd.
Born June 30, 1928 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late John and Bessie Snead. He was a faithful member of Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 60 years. He enjoyed doing yard work and was a caregiver to everyone.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 7-9 pm at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
