Roy Junious Hunt

Roy Junious Hunt, age 82, passed away on September 16, 2024, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

No services are planned.

Born on July 4, 1942, in Robeson County, NC, he was the son of the late Junious Hunt and Jeanette Locklear Hunt.

Roy was a brick mason by trade.  An avid fisherman, he could often be found at his favorite fishing spots.  Auctions were another of Roy's pastimes and he was a big jokester.  Roy was known for his kindness and his readiness to help people in any way he could. Roy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Helen Hunt of the home; his children, Terry Hunt (Vanessa), Lisa Hunt, Larry Hunt (Tina), and Juanita Hunt, all of Lumberton; his step-children, Tawanda Hunt of Fairmont and James Hunt of Laurinburg; 18 grandchildren; special friend, Malery Oxendine; and a host of family and friends.

Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the family.
