Roberta Ann Brown "Bobby" Stewart, 87, passed peacefully Monday, January 30, 2012 with her sons by her side.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Robert Dendy. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Rob (Judy) Stewart of Fayetteville and John (Luri) Stewart of Knightdale; her sisters, Mary Lou Richmond of Rochester, NY and Melinda Bogert of Roosevelt, UT; her grandsons, Robert and Timmy Stewart of Fayetteville.
Born September 2, 1924 in Rochester, NY, she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Ann Janette Reynolds Brown and widow of the late William "Bill" Stewart. Bobby was a former reporter for "The Laurinburg Exchange" and later freelanced for "The Laurinburg Exchange" and "The Robesonian." She was also a former executive secretary for the Maxton City Schools and the Robeson County Schools. She also served as the secretary for the First Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church.
