Mr. Robert Emmett Rainey, 95, of Scotia Village died Friday, December 1, at Scotia Village.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Rockingham officiated by the Rev. Robert Flynn. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, GA.
Born December 11, 1904 in Houston County, GA he was a son of the late James S. and Sara Bankston Rainey. He was associated with Georgia Power Company for 70 years, retiring as a district manager.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Braswell Rainey; a daughter, Margaret Morris of Eaton, GA; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Argyll Room, Scotia Village, Laurinburg.
