Robert Giles Jr.

Robert Francis Giles, Jr., 61 of Laurinburg, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service by the family will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at East Laurinburg Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born July 19, 1956 in Scotland County, he was the son of Jean Cooper Giles and the late Robert Francis Giles.  He was a retired Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joni Weatherford Giles of the home; two sons, Jasson Giles and Damion Giles both of Laurinburg; mother, Jean Cooper Giles; brother, David Giles; sister, Sherry Taylor; five grandsons, Zachary Cribb, Isaiah Giles, Luke Walters, Kyle Walters, and Logan Vongdang;  and one great grandson, Warren Cribb.

McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.
