Mr. Robert Taylor Deaton, 61, of 205 Chippewa Street in Lumberton died Sunday, March 5, at Southeastern General Hospital.
Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Tuesday McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel with Rev. Jim Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
Born January 1, 1939 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late John Henry and Annie Huckabee Deaton. He was a Splicer for Laurinburg Plywood Company.
He is survived by his wife; Mary Mears Deaton of the home, two sisters; Connie Chavis of Wake Forest and Cathy Walters of Laurel Hill, three brothers; John Deaton of Laurel Hill, George Deaton of Laurinburg and Charles Deaton of Lufkin, TX.
