Robert Lee Bruton

Robert Lee Bruton, 49, of Candor passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel in Troy, officiated by Tony Sedberry. Burial will follow at the Bruton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel.

Born October 16, 1975, in Moore County, he is the son of Elizabeth Dianne Gadd and the late Robert Edwin Bruton. Robert's life was defined by his deep love for his family, his passion for the outdoors, and his innate ability to fix anything he put his hands on. He was a man who believed in the value of hard work and the importance of lending a helping hand whenever the opportunity arose. Robert's life was enriched by the laughter and love of his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye and relished every moment spent with them. His passion for racing and traveling was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his excitement and the thrill of the chase.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Dianne Gadd of Candor; daughters, Joleigh Bruton (Jaylan) and Jeorgi "Loulou" Bruton, both of Candor; son, Jaden "Goob" Bruton (Aaliyah Cole) of the home; sisters, Stephanie Bruton Mason of Candor and Julie Deaton (Darrell) of Wadeville; brother, Ricky Gadd of Dunn; and grandchildren, Jace, Justin, and Easton. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edwin Bruton.
