Mr. Robert Glenn "Bob" Smith, 93, of 14301 Haney Drive died Sunday, November 7, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Lawrence B. Coleman. Entombment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park in Rockingham.
He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Louise S. Smith; a son, C. William Smith of Asheville; a brother, Charles Smith of Rockingham; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Caroline) Johnson of Rockingham; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Amma Neal Epps Smith and a son, Robert G. Smith, Jr.
Born May 26, 1906 in Anson County, he was employed for over 40 years with Railway Express. He was a Past Master of Masonic Lodge #305 and a Shriner. He was also a very active member of the First Baptist Church.
