Robert Wayne Ackley

Robert Wayne Ackley, 63, died Saturday, July 24, 2011 wile working in Little Rock, AR. Robert had resided in Laurinburg with his wife, Judith, for the past 17 years.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Winfield Wayne Ackley of Alexandria, VA; his mother, Elverna King Ackley of Waldorf, MA; and his brother, Thomas Richard Ackley of Alexandria, VA.
Robert was a Vietnam veteran, and upon returning home he went to work as a computer specialist for several companies mainly Honeywell and Honeywell International. Upon retiring after 25 years in the computer fields, he went to work for several trucking firms as a long haul driver. He most recently was with Crestline Trucking of Illinois.
