Richard "Lucky" Dale Tucker

Richard “Lucky” Dale Tucker, age 72, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at his home.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 106 Inspiration Lane, Ararat, N.C.

Born August 21, 1947 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Garl and Minnie Wall Tucker.  He was a US Army veteran and a truck driver in the logging industry. Richard loved gardening and going out to eat.  He also loved riding back country roads and German Shepherd dogs.

He is survived by his son, Richard “Red” Dale Tucker, II and his wife, Catrina of Mt. Gilead; one grandchild, Hillary Cranford (Timmy) of Troy; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Tucker Cranford; his girlfriend, Toni Hendren of Troy and her daughter, Kim Barrington (Mike) and granddaughter, Alexis Barrington, all of Biscoe.

Mr. Tucker will lie in state for public viewing Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service, 620 Albemarle Rd., Troy, NC.
