Retha Locklear, 93 of 216 Battley Dairy Road died October 7 at her home.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 591 County Home Rd., Rockingham.
She is survived by four sons, Curney, Webster, Jr. and Clinton of Hamlet and Samuel of Pompton Plains, NJ; three daughters, Nunie Baxter of Wallkill, NY, Doretha Drake and Patsy St. Jean of Hamlet; 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was born November 21, 1915 in Robeson County, the daughter of the late James and Edna Hammond Sampson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Locklear, and sons, Edgeberth, Temple, and Utley Locklear.
The family would like to thank Hospice Care of Richmond County for all their care and support.
