Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Calhoun Pate Morris, 75, of Old Maxton Road finished her course in faith on Friday, March 9, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
A service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Robert Dendy. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Born March 11, 1931 in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late George F. and Lelia Bullard Pate. She graduated from High Point College in 1952 with a degree in Bible and taught Bible at Fairmont High School and later taught elementary school in Maxton and Laurinburg. Becky was active in the Maxton High School Booster Club, the First Presbyterian Church, and was a board member of the Gilbert Patterson Memorial Library.
Most recently she assister in operations of E. Morris & Son Plant Farm. She was always an upbeat personality and easily remembered peoplea
