Raymonda Jean (Sanderson) Clark

Raymonda Jean Clark, born on July 6, 1942, in Pembroke, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 81 in Laurinburg, NC.  She was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments.

A funeral service to honor Raymonda’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Pembroke NC, officiated by Rev. David Oxendine.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at the Clark Cemetery.

Raymonda, known affectionately as Jean, was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.  She was a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many.  Raymonda had a passion for talking and visiting with others, always eager to engage in meaningful conversations.

Raymonda found solace in her faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Pembroke, NC.  Her devotion to her religion brought her comfort and strength throughout her life.  Raymonda Jean Clark will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her infectious spirit and genuine love for others will forever by cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Carl Dean Clark; and their children, Ronald Dean Clark, Carlton Lynn Clark, and Cassandra Kay Clark.  Raymonda was also a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren, Patience Gaucin, Courtni Wright, Corban Clark, Skyler Clark, Michael Cooper, Jherica Wright, Ethan Sampson; and nine great-grandchildren.  Raymonda was preceded in death by her mother, Dicey Sampson; her daughter, Angela Wright; and her brothers, Kelly Sanderson and Alec Warriax.

The family would like to give special thanks to granddaughter, Jherica Wright and niece, Kirstie Cummings.
