Ray W. Griffin, 92, died February 14, 2010.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McPhatter Funeral Home in Laurel Hill officiated by the Rev. Michael Price.
He is survived by his former wife, Sarah Frances Brigman of Myrtle Beach; a son, James Ray Griffin (aka) James B. Cole of Berea, OH; a daughter, Carol Jean MacFarland of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Floyd Griffin of Hamlet and William F. Griffin of Rockingham; two sisters, Molly Thomas of High Point and Lois Stewart of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Christian Cole (Danielle) and Jamie Cole of Berea; Brian MacFarland of San Francisco, Steve Owens and Ray Owens (Lisa) of Bluffton, SC; seven great grandchildren.
Born April 26, 1917 in Laurel Hill, he was a son of the late William L. "Buster" Griffin and Mattie Brown Griffin. Raya
