Delmar, Maryland

Ralph E. McGee, 87, of Delmar, Maryland passed away at Scottish Pines in Laurinburg, N.C. on Saturday, July 29, 2017.

Born December 13, 1929 in Scotland County, he was the son of the late Ralph E McGee, Sr. and the late Ida Smith McGee.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the 11:00 a.m. service and other times at the residence of his niece, Brenda Wright, 11740 Formosa Drive, Laurinburg, N.C. 28352.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Ralph is survived by his wife and “the love of his life for 60 years”, Florence Ward McGee of Delmar, Maryland, Brothers, Jimmy McGee, Jerry McGee and Ronnie McGee, of Laurinburg. Also nieces, Brenda Wright, Helen Guinn and Lisa Ellis, all of Laurinburg, N.C., Kim Morgan of Laurel Hill, N.C. and Jackie Womble of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Nephews, Craig McGee of Oak Island, N.C., Mike McGee of Raleigh, N.C.,  David Jones of Laurel, Delaware, Steve Jones of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Robert Jones of Raleigh, North Carolina.

He was a founding member of Delmarva Evangelistic Church in Salisbury, Maryland where he was a faithful and dedicated member until declining health in recent years.

Ralph retired at the age of 86 from Ray-Flo Beauty Salon, owned and operated by he and his wife.  Also, Ralph retired as an Associate Broker for Salisbury Real Estate in Salisbury, Maryland.

Ralph is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret McGee Radford of Laurinburg.
