Mr. Ralph Anderson "Buck" Lassiter, 85, of 522 Everett Street died Thursday, June 24, at his home.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Baptist Church officiated by the Revs. Raymond Wade and Patricia Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Saunders Lassiter and several nieces and nephews.
Born February 12, 1919 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late John and Fannie Anderson Lassiter. He was a veteran of World War II, attended NC State University and was a retired farmer. After retirement he served as director of the Nutrition Center in Wagram. Buck was an active member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and had over 48 consecutive years of Sunday school attendance. He was also a former deacon and Sunday school secretary. He was awarded the Outstanding Citizen Award for 2002-2003 by the Town of Wagram.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
