R. Marshall Thrower

R. Marshall Thrower, 69, passed away Thursday, September 26.
A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Dial Thrower; his daughter, Jennifer Gassler (Mark) of Kannapolis; his brother, Stewart "Snake" Thrower (Vickie) of Fayetteville; his sister, Claudia "Sis" Thomas of Laurinburg; his granddaughter, Alexandra Gassler; and his uncle and aunt, Kemp and Sylvia Stewart. He was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Thrower.
Born May 3, 1944 in wake County, he was a son of the Late William L. and Elizabeth "Lib" Stewart Thrower. Marshall was the produce manager at Kenny's Superette for many years and later served with LOF Glass for 23 years. He love the beach and listening to beach music, as well as spoiling his granddaughter.
