Polly Gibson Edwards, 97, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Morris Morgan Center at Scotia Village officiated by the Rev. Linda Nelson. Visitation will follow the service.
She is survived by her son, Allen Gibson Edwards (Sue Bunney) of Knoxville, TN; two daughters, Sara Rollison (David) of Blackshear, GA, and Patricia E. Smith (Ron) of Charlotte, NC; 3 grandchildren and 1 Step grandchild; 7 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ken Kennerly.
Born September 6, 1916 in Laurinburg, she was a daughter of the late Henry F. and Elizabeth Henderson Gibson and widow of the late Allen Edwards.
She was owner and operated both Polly's Shoe Nook and 227 Second Street Dress Shop of Cheraw.
