Lt. Plez Richard "Junior" Jackson, 58, of 12566 Gibson Road died Wednesday February 23, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Revs. Michael Price and Legrande Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Batton Jackson of the home; a son, Chris Jackson of Laurinburg; a daughter, Lesley Howell of Hamlet; two brothers, Harry Jackson of Wagram and Tom Jackson of Laurinburg; a sister, Pat Dover of Laurinburg; two grandchildren, Carter Jackson and Colby Howell. He was preceded in death by a bother, Ronnie Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was born July 16, 1946 in Marlboro County, the son of the late Zack Richard and Gladys Clark Jackson. Plez served in Vietnam with the US Army in 1969-70. He was a deputy with the Scotland County Sheriffa
