Pleaz Evans Clark, Sr., 87, of the Springfield Community passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Pleaz Evans Clark, Jr. of Laurel Hill; his daughters, Liza Clark Auld of Rock Hill, SC and Janet Clark Moss of Winder, GA; his grandchildren, Fredrick Gant Taylor of ash and Clark MacQueen Auld of Rock Hill, SC; his great grandchildren, Melanie Hope Taylor of Kernersville, and Jonathan Gant Taylor of Greensboro; his brother, Charlie Melvin Clark, Jr. of Laurinburg and his children, Charlie Melvin Clark, III and Tony Clark; niece, Sharon Ormsby; 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces..
He was born January 28, 1926 in Scotland County. He enlisted in the US Navy in World War II and was discharged five years later in 1948. He attended Presbyterian Junior College and Wingate College and served 44 ½ hears with Springs Mills.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
