Mrs. Phoebe Richardson Fitzner, 53, of Wilmington and formerly of Laurinburg died Monday, November 18.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. L. D. Kimrey. A graveside service will be at a later date in Jacksonville, FL.
She is survived by her son, Chase Fitzner of Winston-Salem; her daughter, Phoebe Bye and husband, Philip of Clayton; her mother, Penny Richardson of Laurinburg; a brother, Dr. David Richardson and wife, Sylvia of Lumberton; and several nieces and nephews.
Born July 24, 1949 in Charlotte, she graduated from Laurinburg High School and Mount Vernon Junior College in Washington, DC. She was employed as a travel agent in Wilmington and formerly in Laurinburg.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. James Richardson of Jacksonville, FL and a brother, Jim Richardson of Jacksonville, FL.
